Motiongate at Dubai Parks & Resorts
A blockbuster in its own right, this Hollywood-inspired adventure land features 27 rides inspired by 13 memorable action and animation films, including Ghostbusters and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. Three of the five zones are dedicated to Hollywood’s most legendary film studios including Dreamworks, Sony Pictures and Lionsgate, while Smurfs Village is entirely family friendly.

Best for: Masterminds.
Signature ride: Capitol Bullet Train, the world’s first theme park ride based on The Hunger Games franchise, hurls you backwards, forwards and upside down.

Legoland Dubai at Dubai Parks & Resorts

A mere 60-million plastic Lego bricks were used to build this family theme park, which is made up of six areas including Lego City and the Middle East-themed Miniland. Ideal for families with children aged two to 12, there are more than 40 rides and 15,000 Lego models, with many attractions requiring kids to use teamwork and apply their skills to steer a boat or drive a car.

Best for: Minions.
Signature ride: The Dragon rollercoaster is set to more leisurely speeds of 60km per hour, weaving through the Legoland Castle and onto an outdoor track.

Legoland Water Park

Legoland Dubai’s wet off-shoot is home to more than 20 child-friendly waterslides and attractions including a wave pool, giant water-dumping buckets, a DUPLO splash safari area for toddlers and a lazy river where you build your own Lego raft.
Best for: Little mermaids.
Signature attraction: The Joker Soaker’s bucket dumps 300 gallons of water on guests every few minutes.

Bollywood Parks Dubai at Dubai Parks & Resorts

Dubai ticks off another world first with this theme park dedicated to India’s vibrant Bollywood film industry. The park features more than 16 cinematic rides, 30 live shows across seven different stages, Indian dining and five zones including Bollywood Boulevard and Mumbai Chowk.
Best for: Gurus.
Signature attraction: The park’s flagship Rajmahal Theatre will be home to a Broadway-style, Bollywood musical and seats up to 850 people.

Six Flags Dubailand

Due to open in late 2019, Dubai Parks & Resorts has already begun building on Six Flags Dubailand, the fourth theme park on the site and the largest Six Flags outside the US. When completed, it will feature 27 rides and attractions as well as six themed zones: Thrillseeker Plaza, Magic Mountain, Fiesta Texas, Great Escape, Great Adventure and Great America. Make a note!
