LOUIS VAN GAAL

New boss?: Van Gaal looks increasingly likely to take over at United this summer
Mehmet Scholl - who also worked with van Gaal in the past at Bayern - has suggested his former mentor could clash with Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford.
The former German international was Bayern Munich's reserve team coach under van Gaal and he says he doesn't work well with big stars.
Scholl told the Guardian: "He's very strict and severe so the players just have the chance to follow him or they are out and he takes the next players.
"He's very good with young players. I think everywhere he was he had some problems with big players and the staff."
Ex-United striker Louis Saha has given his backing to former colleague Ryan Giggs, insisting the Welshman is good enough to manage the club on a permanent basis.
Speaking at the a Soccerex launch in Manchester, Saha said: "He can do the job now, for sure.
"It seems like an easy choice for now because he proved he can do it last weekend."
Another former player Paul Pogba has claimed the Red Devils - and in particular legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson - showed him no respect.
The 21-year-old has gone on to become one of the most promising midfielders in Europe at Juventus, with some reports suggesting United were even keen on bringing him back to Manchester.
But the Frenchman has hit out, telling the Express: "They left me out because they said I wanted to leave. That is disrespect. Maybe they didn't think they were making a mistake."
