Swizz Beats (L) and Alicia Keys attend the Keep A Child Alive Black Ball at Hammerstein Ballroom.
“I need you to be loud and proud with that money!” Sean “Diddy” Combs declared onstage with Swizz Beatz and Kanye West at the Hammerstein Ballroom in his opening remarks at the Keep a Child Alive’s Black Ball gala Thursday night. Seven months pregnant Alicia Keys hosted the 11th annual benefit for the nonprofit, which supports children and families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Givenchy’s artistic director, Riccardo Tisci, was honored with a humanitarian award for his work.
“Tonight is all about collaboration, about coming together,” Keys said during her remarks. “Tonight, our pursuits and passions are one.”
Guests included Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Selita Ebanks, Lisa Maria Falcone, La La Anthony, Clive Davis, Gayle King, André Leon Talley and Lorraine Schwartz.
Kelly Rowland’s trainer Jeanette Jenkins was also there, and mentioned that her very pregnant client was due this week.
Keys, Nas, David Byrne and Angel Haze all performed for the crowd after dinner and a rousing auction led by Combs.
